Dear Neighbors,
Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s meeting at the Castle Pines Library—we had a great turnout! For those who couldn’t join, this email highlights the most important updates and next steps.
Scope of Effort
Our mission is clear: Keep McArthur Drive a dead-end road.
Allowing it to become a through-street would endanger children, recreational users, wildlife, and property values. This is the central focus of our coalition and the reason we need everyone’s involvement.
Why This Matters
We are deeply concerned about the Hillcamp development and their interest in opening McArthur Drive as a permanent access road. Since our meeting, we’ve uncovered additional documents and letters confirming these discussions are underway (snippets attached below).
Opening McArthur Drive would:
Put children walking to school at risk at an already dangerous intersection
Endanger recreational use by hikers, bikers, equestrians, and families walking dogs
Increase wildfire danger and emergency response risks
Reduce property values across our community
Key Updates

Susan Tillman is collecting contributions for an unincorporated non-profit association fund dedicated to legal fees.
